As part of a larger menu initiative, Cousins Subs announced it has expanded its menu offerings with a new grilled chicken line. Available at all Cousins Subs locations, guests can now choose from the following grilled chicken subs: Cheese Steak, Philly, Bacon Cheddar or the Bacon Mushroom Swiss. All are grilled to order on fresh baked bread and topped with veggies and Wisconsin cheese, according to a company press release.
"We continuously look for ways to evolve our menu to create a better dining experience for our guests," said Justin McCoy, vice president of marketing at Cousins Subs. "Our grilled sub sandwiches are unique to our brand and we wanted to add another grilled protein option to our menu. Our new chicken line is the perfect complement to our popular steak offerings."
Additional menu improvements include: the conversion to all-white meat chicken and USDA choice steak for all grilled sub sandwiches; spinach and guacamole as topping options; a Gourmet Garden salad now made with spinach. Cousins plans to transition to the use of antibiotic-free and hormone-free chicken and steak for grilled subs by early 2016, the release stated.
"Since our inception, we've been uncompromising in the quality of the product we provide our guests as we believe quality has no substitute," McCoy said. "We converted to all-white meat chicken and USDA choice steak for all grilled sub sandwiches to continue to provide guests with the quality they deserve."
The new menu streamlines Cousins offerings and introduces a line of grilled subs that can be made with chicken or steak. Cousins first started making adjustments to its menu in November 2015, when it expanded its locally-sourced food products to include all Wisconsin-based cheeses and Sprecher Root Beer at all locations.
