The Council of State Restaurant Associations (CSRA) named its first full-time leader this month as part of what it said is a major strategic initiative to align with the National Restaurant Association to serve the industry. Anuja Miner has assumed the role of executive vice president for the CSRA and will, according to a press release, work to "strengthen the collaboration with the National Restaurant Association and the state restaurant association partners in serving the restaurant industry," she said. "I am thrilled to be joining such an exciting industry and look forward to my new role representing the interests of CSRA and bridging the relationships between CSRA and the National Restaurant Association."
Miner has more than 20 years of trade association management experience with the National Milk Producers Federation and International Dairy Foods Association. She most recently held the position of executive director of the American Butter Institute.
"Hiring Anuja begins the next phase of a detailed process that began over two years ago," said CSRA President and Louisiana Restaurant Association President and CEO Stan Harris. "Selecting the CSRA's first full-time leader, our board is very excited to have someone of Anuja's experience and character in this position."
NRA CEO Dawn Sweeney added, "I am excited by the news of Anuja's hire and the additional opportunities it affords us as we continue to align our shared work with our state partners."
Miner will guide the CSRA's mission of fostering goodwill and promoting success for State Restaurant Associations in the US.
