ConAgra Foodservice said of of the Angela Mia tomato items are now non-GMO project-verified and are labeled as such to meet the growing consumer demand for this type of food product. The company said in a news release that products bearing the seal assure operators and consumer they are produced under the rigorous standards in order to exclude genetic modification under the strict guidelines of the non-GMO project.
"We've gone through rigorous testing, traceability and segregation practices to maintain ingredient integrity, so that our customers can feel confident in what they're serving," said ConAgra Foodservice Marketing Manager Kelly O'Connor Grzyb, in the release.
