Cold Stone hires former VP as president

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Cold Stone Creamery said Jim Flaum has rejoined the company, accepting the position of president and chief operating officer.
Flaum served as executive vice president of Cold Stone before he departed in 2004 to launch his own multi-unit restaurant business.
According to a news release, he will lead the charge in achieving Cold Stone's Vision that, "The world will knows us as The Ultimate Ice Cream Experience by making us the No. 1 best-selling ice cream brand in America by Dec. 31, 2009." Flaum will report to Doug Ducey, chairman and chief executive officer.
