Cold Stone gets iced by fake promotion

The Grand Rapids (Mich.) Press: Cold Stone Creamery was the victim of an Internet prank claiming 1,400 stores around the country would give away ice cream Jan. 7.In a group event posted on the Web site Facebook.com, the false promotion claims the chain will give out small "Like It" portions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fake giveaway is just one problem, said general manager Ginger Hensley.
