Cold Stone Creamery throws birthday celebration

Cold Stone Creamery announced a partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks to celebrate team mascot, Baxter's birthday on National Ice Cream Day, Sunday, July 17 at Chase Field, according to a news release. The report also said Cold Stone Creamery tastemaster and food scientist, Dr. Maya Warren, will present Baxter with a  cake before the game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"Baxter is one lucky guy to have his birthday fall on National Ice Cream Day, of all days," said Senior Vice President of Marketing Kate Unger, with Kahala Brands, parent company of Cold Stone Creamery, in a release.

This year, Cold Stone Creamery also released the two-pound D-backs Triple Play sundae, available through the end of the baseball season.
