Clean Eatz is expanding its franchise footprint after franchisees reported that profitability was up 3% year-over-year during the first quarter of 2026. Average check rose 1.6%

"The strongest restaurant brands are becoming part of their customers' weekly routines," Kayla Stacy, franchise executive for Clean Eatz, said in a company press release. "That's exactly what our business model was built to do."

Company officials credited the gains to Clean Eatz's five-revenue-stream business model, which includes meal plans, grab-and-go meals, café dining, catering and retail products. The diversified approach allows franchisees to generate revenue across multiple dayparts and customer occasions rather than relying primarily on dine-in traffic.

Founded in 2011 by Don and Evonne Varady, Clean Eatz has grown to 116 locations across 23 states. The brand said about 75% of systemwide sales come from its meal plans and grab-and-go offerings, creating recurring customer visits beyond traditional restaurant occasions.

The strong performance has helped accelerate franchise development as it seeks new operators, including first-time business owners, military veterans, fitness professionals and experienced multi-unit franchisees.

Clean Eatz' operating model emphasizes streamlined operations, limited operating hours and reduced food waste while giving franchisees multiple revenue opportunities through a single concept.

The brand joins a growing number of restaurant concepts expanding beyond traditional dine-in and takeout by building recurring revenue through subscriptions, prepared meal programs and retail offerings as consumers continue to prioritize convenience and healthier food options.
