Chronic Tacos is kicking off its newest store opening July 16 in Palmdale, California with an amateur taco-eating contest and other day-long incentives created to pull people into the new location. In fact, the chain plans to have pro skateboard Jason "Wee Man" Acuna on site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. when visitors can also get free tacos at the Tenth Street location.
"The Taco Life vision began in Southern California and we've remained dedicated to our roots," said Chronic Tacos CEO Michael Mohammed in a news release. "Having celebrated the recent success of Valencia's opening and now in Palmdale, we're excited to continue our California roll-out with five more restaurants to offer even more access to high-quality, authentic Mexican recipes to our local communities."
The report also said 20 percent of the event's sales will be donated to Grace Resources, a local nonprofit committed to helping the community's underprivileged.
