Chipotle Mexican Grill first introduced its kids' menu in Denver last year and has since increased its availability, including a recent debut in Chicago.
Starting Aug. 2, children in Minnesota will be able to order from the kids' menu, which features quesadillas, single tacos and a build-your-own taco kit, all priced at less than $4. Items are smaller portioned and cheaper than Chipotle's standard menu.
Additionally, all of the meals include a bag of chips and a choice of soda, apple juice or milk.
According to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, to launch the new item, Chipotle will donate a free kids' meal on Sundays from Aug. 8 through Aug. 29, as long as the children's parents/guardians purchase a burrito, salad, burrito bowl or order of tacos.
Nearly all of Chipotle restaurants will include a kids' menu by the end of 2010.
