Chipotle veteran joins Luna Grill

July 16, 2013

Luna Grill, a San Diego-based Mediterranean restaurant, has hired Daniel Lowe as its director of operations.

Lowe's most recent experience derives from his work at Chipotle Mexican Grill, where he held various management positions. He developed operational expertise as area manager in Washington D.C., and was later promoted to operations director for multiple territories including New England, Upstate New York and Minnesota/Wisconsin. He was responsible for up to 65 restaurants and numerous team members. Over the course of his 11-year career at Chipotle he developed and managed annual sales budgets in excess of $100 million. He recognized, coached and advanced talent within his team, and played a key role in the growth of the thriving fast casual concept that is Chipotle, according to a company press release.

Luna Grill, owned by Premier Food Concepts LLC, is preparing to open its 10th location in the fall and is gearing up for even more growth, said Lowe.

"I am very excited to be a part of this amazing team of people and offer any experience I can to help us grow stronger into the future while maintaining Luna Grill's original mission of providing our customers, 'good food that is good for you,'" he said.
