Chipotle, La Madeleine eye handheld tech

Dallas Morning News: Fast-casual restaurants in the U.S., including Dallas-based La Madeleine Bakery, Café and Bistro and Chipotle Mexican Grill, are trying handheld devices for line-busting: taking orders as guests queue up.
Some full-service restaurant chains are experimenting with handheld gadgets that could eliminate waits — a device that allows servers to place customers' orders and later process their credit card tableside.
