Caribou to give away free decaf

The Business Journal: A day afterStarbucks Corp.announced it will continuously brew decaffeinated coffee only until noon to trim costs,Caribou Coffee Co. Inc.responded Thursday by announcing it will give away free decaf coffee Jan. 30.
Brooklyn Center, Minn.-based Caribou will offer free 12-ounce cups of decaf from noon until close at all of its stores on Friday. Starbucks still plans to offer decaf in the afternoon, but will brew the beverage only if a customer requests it.
