Caribou 'sippin' it old school' with malt-inspired drinks

Caribou Coffee is unveiling three malt-flavored drinks today in hopes of evoking memories of tall glass treats at the ice cream shop counter. 

"Our guests love variety and that's why we're always researching, testing and of course tasting new and exciting flavors," Jenifer Hagness, VP of Marketing and Product Innovation, said in a company press release. “Our malt beverages are like nothing out there. Each variety offers a different way to enjoy this classic flavor."

The options include:

• Malted Mocha: espresso and malted milk powder are added to milk chocolate chips and melted into steamed milk. It's topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips.
• Malted Mocha Cooler: malt blended with real chocolate chips, coffee and ice for a creamy texture and taste.
• Iced or Hot Malted Crafted Press: a hint of malted milk powder is added to Caribou's signature Crafted Press.
