Caribou Coffee plants flag near Minneapolis’ Target Field

July 8, 2014

Caribou Coffee recently opened a new store in downtown Minneapolis near Target Field, at the newly expanded Target Field Station. The Minnesota-based brand will celebrate with a grand opening on July 9, offering free coffee for a year for the first 50 guests in-store.

“Caribou’s original corporate headquarters was in the North Loop and we’re happy to be back in the neighborhood creating jobs and providing another community space in downtown Minneapolis,” PR Manager Megan Fraboni said in a news release. “We’re excited to focus on growth in Minnesota and continue to serve the community by providing a welcoming coffeehouse environment with an array of quality beverage and food options.”

Target Field Station is a public/private partnership between the Minnesota Twins and United Properties and is expected to grow into a “robust retail and commercial space,” according to Kevin Smith, senior director of corporate communications at the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club.

Caribou’s newest location includes nearly 2,400 square feet, with patio seating and a community room with AV capabilities for business meetings.
