Caribou Coffee 'Lites' up summer with teas, juices

Caribou Coffee Company today debuted four Lite Sparkling Teas and Juices made with real fruit and tea and featuring half the amount of calories, according to a company press release. The flavors include:

• Green Tea Lemonade – A balanced blend of healthy green tea and sweet lemonade.
• Peach Black Tea – Sweet peach married with the bold flavor of black tea.
• Lemon Ginger Pomegranate – A blend of tart lemon and sweet pomegranate balanced with the essence of ginge.
• Apple Raspberry – Two simple flavors come together to make a light but refreshing summer drink.

"As the temperatures start to rise, we understand that our fans want cool and refreshing drinks on long summer days," said Alfredo Martel, senior vice president of marketing and product management. "With our continued dedication to providing innovative menu offerings in our coffeehouses, we're excited to expand our Sparkling Tea and Juice line to include these new drinks with half the calories. These beverages are perfect for those looking for lighter options during the summer and all year round."

Caribou Cool Spot

To help the community get ready for summer, Caribou will be out in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area introducing its Caribou Cool Spot, a mobile sampling station. Fans who visit the Caribou Cool Spot will have the opportunity to sample the new Lite Sparkling Teas and Juices and will receive a Summer Surprise Card – a Caribou gift card in the amount of $1 to $100.

Guests can find out the value of their gift card by visiting their local Caribou Coffee. Throughout May, fans can help decide where the Caribou Cool Spot will be by tweeting their choice location to @Caribou_Coffee using the hashtag #CaribouCoolSpot. Come June, Caribou will help Minnesotans start their day off by popping up at various locations throughout the Twin Cities. Fans are encouraged to watch @Caribou_Coffee for details.

Additionally, to celebrate the new drink lineup and reward its fans, Caribou guests who purchase a reusable tumbler today through May 27 will receive a free sparkling beverage in their new tumbler. This is in addition to the 10 percent-off drink discount fans receive when they bring in their reusable drinkware throughout the year.
