November 5, 2015

Captain D's announced it achieved its 16th consecutive quarter of positive growth. The company has experienced continued success throughout the year, driven by its new restaurant redesign and ongoing menu innovation, according to a company press release. Enjoying a 3.0 percent same-store-sales growth for the third quarter of 2015, the company is on track for its third consecutive year of AUV record-breaking sales.

"At Captain D's, our success is driven by our team's dedication to innovation and continually evolving our brand while staying true to our guest-centric roots. We are thrilled by the consistent growth we've experienced as a result," said Phil Greifeld, Captain D's CEO. "As we head into the end of the year, we will keep moving forward and expect to close out 2015 stronger than ever while continuing to do what we do best, which is provide our guests with the exceptional experience and high-quality seafood they've come to love from Captain D's."

Captain D's expanded the offerings of its 5 Under $5 full meal deals during the third quarter and debuted a new meal featuring lobster bites, made with North Atlantic cold-water lobster and coated with a seasoned batter. Another key to the company's third quarter success was Captain D's Curious George promotion, through which restaurants featured limited-time Curious George-themed 3D KiD's meals and offered guests an opportunity to enter to win a trip for four to Universal Studios Orlando. These efforts resulted in an increase in sales and drove awareness amongst young families, the release stated.

Captain D's recently unveiled a new design featuring a coastal atmosphere and improved the dining experience with new plate ware and silverware. Captain D's also has new menu items, upgraded menu boards and several new kid's meal offerings.

Captain D's has 512 restaurants in 23 states, plus military bases around the world.
