Capriotti's launches summer charity drive

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is partnering with The Las Vegas Rescue Mission to collect canned items for the Hunger Doesn't Take A Summer Vacation Food Drive running now through May 23.

According to a news release, all Capriotti's locations in Las Vegas will be accepting non-perishable food donations in specially marked bins, and fans who donate five or more items will receive a free small-to-medium sandwich upsize. All donations will be collected by The Las Vegas Rescue Mission and distributed to local families and children in need.

"Child hunger is a growing problem in the Las Vegas area, and with Hunger Doesn't Take A Summer Vacation, we hope to raise awareness and make a difference in our community," CEO Ashley Morris said in the release. "Our Thanksgiving Food Drive with The Las Vegas Rescue Mission last year helped over 2,000 local families, and we cannot wait to recreate that success, this time with a focus on local children in need."
