Camille's Sidewalk Café is now selling its signature tortilla chips at all Camille's locations nationwide and in Oklahoma grocery stores, according to a company press release. As an innovative platform for the brand, the new retail line of Tortilla Chips delivers the delicious taste of Camille's Sidewalk Café for consumers to enjoy at home, said Camille Rutkauskas, co-founder and president of Camille's Sidewalk Café.
"These chips are hands down better than any tortilla chip in town," she said. "For years, we've had them as a perfect accompaniment with our signature salsa and people absolutely love them. Now, our guests can purchase them at their local Camille's and enjoy both anytime they want."
The Tulsa, Okla.-based restaurant, which has 36 domestic locations and new ones opening around the globe, has served the tri-colored chips with its wraps and sandwiches since the company's inception 17 years ago. In addition to offering the line at all Camille's locations, Rutkauskas said they plan to approach local grocery stores to stock the popular tortilla chips this year — and possibly follow a similar strategy for other Camille's products. Currently, Camille's offers its Camille's Salsa, Creamy Tuscan Tomato Soup, and Coffee Bean and Tea for retail sale at all its stores nationwide.
"We see this as a huge opportunity to broaden our brand and appeal," said CEO David Rutkauskas, Beautiful Brands International, the franchising company of Camille's. "Our tortilla chips are a great retail addition to our signature salsa and will be a popular purchase item for guests who want to experience the taste of Camille's in the comfort of their own home."
Camille's new line of Signature Tortilla Chips, available in a 16-ounce bag for a suggested retail price of $3.99, hits all Camille's locations nationwide this month. The chips are gluten-free certified, have no trans-fats and are made from all natural, stone-ground blue, red and yellow corn.
