California Tortilla rolls out carnitas LTO

ROCKVILLE, Md. — California Tortilla has announced it has updated their limited-time-offer menu for the third quarter with three new pork carnitas-based items: Carnitas Verde Burrito, BBQ Carnitas Quesadilla and Carnitas Tacos.

The Carnitas Verde Burrito is a warm tortilla filled with Mexican rice, carnitas, spicy chili verde sauce, sour cream, California Tortilla's signature salsa and crunchy romaine lettuce. It also is available as a burrito bowl.

The BBQ Carnitas Quesadilla contains Jack cheese, carnitas, BBQ sauce and chopped scallions.

The Carnitas Taco (available a la carte) is loaded with carnitas, Jack cheese, crisp cabbage slaw, California Tortilla signature salsa and cilantro.

Customers were first made aware of the specials via Facebook and Twitter.

Previous LTO options include Philly Cheese steaks, Fish Tacos, Pulled BBQ Pork Burritos, Pork Carnitas, Edible Bowls, Gyro and Teriyaki Burritos.
