California Tortilla reports 14 percent comps increase

November 3, 2010

California Tortilla has a 14.35 percent increase in its October 2010 same-store sales, marking the restaurant chain's eighth consecutive month of sales gains.

"California Tortilla's performance in 2010 and continued growth speaks to the multifaceted formula that we implement across all of our locations," said brand president Bob Phillips. "We attribute our success to the collective hard work and execution of our operations teams across all locations, the implementation and acceptance of our new menu, which was created in part from customer feedback, and our innovative marketing programs and promotions that were successfully carried out chain wide. Due to this success we feel it is the perfect time to resume expansion of our chain."

The chain has set its sights on further expansion into New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and North Carolina and is planning its continued growth in the Washington D.C./Baltimore metro market.
