California Pizza Kitchen will celebrate its 30th anniversary on March 27. To mark the milestone, California Pizza Kitchen will also debut "Taste of the Seasons'' cookbook, a collection of restaurant-style recipes featuring ideas from each season's harvest, that you can make at home. Fans will be able to purchase the book at California Pizza Kitchen restaurants.
"CPK is resetting the stage for the next 30 years and we are calling this plan our 'Next Chapter'," California Pizza Kitchen Executive Chairman and CEO G.J. Hart said in a statement. "We have over 280 restaurants in 208 cities and 15 countries around the world, and this plan takes the best of our heritage, history and soul and infuses it with a new look, a new menu and a new experience."
With California Pizza Kitchen's expanded open kitchen concept, guests are now even closer to the action. Chefs prepare food from scratch every day using flavors from over 175 ingredients. Pizzas are created from dough that is proofed, then hand-tossed three feet into the air and finished with sliced, diced and torn toppings before they are baked in the open hearth oven.
"We bring California creativity to every meal we serve. Our culinary inspiration comes from inspiration from around the world," Brian Sullivan, CPK's head chef and SVP of culinary development, said in a statement. "From our innovative pizzas to our one-of-a-kind pastas, entrees, salads and desserts, we strive to be remarkably original in everything we do."
