BurgerFi opens 2nd Mexican location

BurgerFi announced the opening of its second location in Mexico in a company press release. Franchisee EFIT SA DE CV plans to open 40 BurgerFi locations in partnership with the company in the next five years around Mexico City, bringing an expected 1,000 new jobs to the area.

"We are honored to have been selected by BurgerFi as their first international partner," Luis Antonio Ortiz Dominguez, founding partner of EFIT SA DE CV, said in the release. "We look forward to staying true to BurgerFi's identity and integrity by bringing the fresh, all natural, never-ever program to Mexico and replicating the success of the brand internationally."

"We are excited to be working with the EFIT SA DE CV group, who has demonstrated a genuine passion for the industry and a deep understanding of our vision; essential qualities we looked for in our first partner to expand BurgerFi's presence internationally."

This past year has been a growth year for BurgerFi, according to the report, with new restaurants in Alabama, Florida, New Jersey, Texas and California. International locations are already under development in the UK, Panama and Kuwait.
