Built Custom Burgers, which specializes in offering healthier options such as hormone- and antibiotic-free Angus Beef and gluten-free buns, is launching internationally with its opening in Accra, Ghana. The chain's global owner, MTY Food Group/Kahala Brands, has signed an area development agreement with Nidal Ezzedine, owner of Sophara International, a subsidiary of Palace Group based in Ghana, according to a press release.
"Built Custom Burgers has high-quality products that allow the customer to customize their burger to fit their lifestyle or order one that is already created for them," Ezzedine said about the agreement that allows for additional openings in Ghana and other countries in West Africa. "Currently, there is a need in the West African market for a brand like Built Custom Burgers. Built Custom Burgers is the express version of its sister brand, The Counter, which also had a successful launch in Ghana. We feel very proud to bring Built Custom Burgers to the market of Ghana."
The Ghana locations will also serve vegetarian options as well as Halal products, according to the release.
Built and its sister brand, The Counter, are headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.
