Buffalo Wild Wings Q2 comps skyrocket; fall marketing plan unveiled

MINNEAPOLIS — For the second quarter ended June 25, 2006, Buffalo Wild Wings reported a same-store sales increase of 8.7 percent at company-owned stores and 4.7 percent at franchised restaurants.
The company said revenue increased 29.1 percent to $62.3 million.
According to a news release, the positive sales momentum is expected to continue with the return of football season. Buffalo Wild Wings will launch two T.V. commercials with the tagline, "You Have to Be Here," showcasing the dining experience. President and chief executive Sally Smith said the commercials will begin airing in September on ESPN.
"In addition, we are launching radio advertising highlighting our new hickory-smoked ribs, which will air on both local and national ESPN radio," Smith said.
