Bruegger's Bagels today is introducing its new Chimi-Cheddar Egg Sandwich, featuring chimichurri sauce. Seasonal favorites including Pumpkin Bagels and Pumpkin Cream Cheese are also on the menu for a limited time only, according to a company press release.
The Chimi-Cheddar Egg Sandwich uses the traditional Argentinean sauce to spice up Bruegger's Bagels' classic egg, bacon and cheddar sandwich, served on a plain bagel. The new limited-time sandwich follows in the footsteps of the popular Sriracha Egg Sandwich, which was introduced last spring and has been added to Bruegger's Bagels' permanent menu this fall due to its overwhelming popularity, said Bruegger's Bagels Executive Chef Philip Smith.
"The success of the Sriracha Egg Sandwich proved that our customers really like a little kick added to their traditional breakfast," Smith said. "Chimichurri is used traditionally with meats like pork or beef, but the flavor blends beautifully with bacon and cheese, making an unexpected but delicious breakfast combination."
Bruegger's Bagels' fall favorites also make their return to the menu this week, including a Pumpkin Bagel and Cranberry Apple Bagel, baked fresh all day in each location, and Pumpkin Cream Cheese and Pumpkin Spice Coffee.
"While our guests embrace new, on-trend flavors, they also expect their favorites to return each year," said Smith. "Last year guests loved having both the Cranberry Apple Bagel and Pumpkin Bagel, so we delivered, just in time for fall."
Fans can order their pumpkin favorites until Nov. 27. The Cranberry Apple Bagel and other featured menu items will be available until January 2014.
