Bruegger's desserts go trans-fat free
March 1, 2007
BURLINGTON, Vt. — Bruegger's has cut trans fat from its dessert line in all 255 bakeries, the company announced March 1.
Their trans-fat-free dessert line-up now includes the Double Chocolate Brownie Bar, Toffee Almond Bar, Marshmallow Chew, and Seven Layer Bar along with Chocolate Chunk, Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.
"Bruegger's is known for offering guests a variety of healthy dining choices, from our totally fat-free bagels and cream cheeses to soups and fresh-tossed salads so offering trans-fat-free desserts was a natural next step," said Chief Executive Officer James J. Greco. "This change is the right thing to do for our guests, and we have found quality, alternative products that do not sacrifice taste."
