Brooklyn Water Bagel opens 1st campus location at Nova Southeastern University

The location is in the Terry Building's new dining complex at 3200 South University Drive. It's designed to serve students and faculty throughout the day, from breakfast before class to a midday coffee run or lunch on the go. Hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, with dine-in, to-go, delivery and catering available.

The menu includes the chain's breakfast sandwiches and coffee, along with avocado toast, Greek yogurt parfaits, wraps, sandwiches, snacks, fresh fruit, specialty beverages and sweets.

"Having a presence on college campuses makes a lot of sense for the brand," Brooklyn Water Bagel CEO Dan Smith said in a statement. He said the university gives the company a chance to serve a different audience with its own dining habits and needs, and that he sees room to grow on campuses and in other high-traffic locations where convenience and quality matter.

Brooklyn Water Bagel is running the location in partnership with Chartwells Higher Education, a division of Compass Group that provides campus dining services.

The Nova Southeastern location is Brooklyn Water Bagel's first non-traditional site in Florida. Company officials said they're eyeing similar opportunities at other universities as well as airports, stadiums, military bases and medical complexes.
