Boston Market goes Italian
April 27, 2008
GOLDEN, Colo. — Boston Market has announced their new "Spring Line" of menu items: Tuscan Herb Rotisserie Chicken, Four-Cheese Cavatappi, Garlic Spinach, and Classic Minestrone Soup. These dishes, inspired by robust Italian flavors, are part of Boston Market's plans to revamp their menu throughout 2008.
"The Italian culture is known for its emphasis on family and food, which was terrific inspiration and a natural fit for Boston Market," said Judy Cantrell, Boston Market's chief brand officer. "We want to offer the best of both worlds — bringing the family together by taking the time and legwork out of meal prep, while still serving up gourmet, wholesome meals that taste homemade."
Boston Market's newest entree, the Tuscan Herb Rotisserie Chicken, is an infusion of Boston Market's signature rotisserie chicken with a blend of Tuscan-inspired herbs and spices. Each chicken is double marinated and slow roasted.
The Tuscan Herb Rotisserie Chicken will be available as individual meals with two gourmet sides and cornbread for $6.49, or as a family meal for $23.99. It is a limited time offering beginning April 21.
Restaurants also are offering the 4-Cheese Cavatappi — corkscrew-shaped pasta noodles made from durum wheat semolina, blended with a creamy mix of Swiss, Gruyere, Asiago and Romano cheeses and a touch of Dijon — in addition to its Mac & Cheese side dish. The new Garlic Spinach dish mixes steamed, tender-leaf spinach with shaved Parmesan cheese and garlic.
The newest soup, Classic Minestrone, offers a hearty blend of diced tomatoes, Spanish onions, cabbage, spinach, kidney and garbanzo beans, in a traditional Italian-herb broth.
