Boloco receives Boston Green Business Award

Boston-based Boloco Inspired Burritos has been selected to receive Mayor Thomas Menino's 2010 Green Business Awards – one of 17 Boston-based businesses to be chosen. The award ceremony is scheduled for April 29 in the Prudential Center, where Menino will distribute an award to each business. Awards are given out based on extraordinary performance related to sustainable environment practices such as a green product or service, the use of green cleaning products and the design and implementation of a waste reduction and recycling plan.
Boloco has been Certified Green by the Green Restaurant Association.It also uses cups made of corn, compostable bowls and utensils, naturally-raised meats and organic ingredients whenever possible.
