Blaze Fast Fire'd Pizza will open its milestone 100th restaurant this week in Indianapolis. To celebrate the grand opening, the restaurant will offer free build-your-own pizzas from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday to anyone who follows Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, a company press release stated.
The new restaurant, which opens Wednesday and features a 2,600-square-foot interior with seating for 80 inside and an additional 25 seats on an outdoor patio, is located at 8760 N. Michigan Rd., near the intersection of Vincennes and Michigan, just North of 86th St. The opening is the third Indianapolis area location for Blaze Pizza, which made its Indianapolis-area debut in February 2014 with its first restaurant near Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (Lockefield Commons, 913 Indiana Ave.)
"Our mission at Blaze is really simple — we're taking pizza back to its roots," said Jim Mizes, president and COO of Blaze Pizza. "By making dough in-house, carefully sourcing ingredients, and cooking by fire, we're giving guests a great way to enjoy artisanal pizza without the wait. It's changing the way people think about and eat pizza."
Blaze Pizza also has developed a turn-key in-restaurant fundraiser program that returns 20 percent of an event's proceeds back to local organizations, and will be partnering with local schools, sports clubs and other organizations to host fundraising events at the new restaurant.
The company currently operates 99 restaurants in 23 states and Canada.
