Billy Sims BBQ has opened a location in Emporia, Kansas, under the leadership of veteran franchisees Dave Dunn and Sean O'Brien, according to a press release.
"We have grown our franchise quickly in Kansas due to the high demand and great reception we've received across the state," Dunn said. "Emporia is a great city and we look forward to introducing the community to our barbecue."
The concept plans to open nine units in 2017 and has won awards for its franchising.
"The state of Kansas has become one of the fastest-growing locations for our brand," Jeff Jackson, co-founder and CEO of Billy Sims BBQ, said in the release. "Kansans have discovered Billy Sims BBQ and love the food, the service and the affordable prices."
