Big Apple Bagels heading to the Middle East

BAB Systems Inc. has signed a master franchise agreement with Mont Royal General Trading LLC, a Dubai-based company, for the development of Big Apple Bagels stores throughout the Middle East. The territory covered by the agreement includes 10 countries, according to a news release.

The agreement calls for at least 30 Big Apple Bagels stores in the development territory throughout a 10-year period, with nine required to open within the first three years. The first store is now under development in Dubai.

BAB will receive royalties of at least 3 percent of sales in all stores opened under the agreement whether owned by or sub-franchised by the master franchisee.
