Bibigo focuses on retail line for holiday parties

Bibigo's corporate chef is offering tips for infusing traditional holiday fare with Korean flavor using the brand's retail line of products.

California-based Korean concept Bibigo is putting the focus on its retail line during the holiday season.

Sung Ahn, Bibigo's corporate chef, offers a number of recommendations for changing up traditional favorites with Korean flavors.

"Holidays are about spending time with friends and family, but hosting parties and planning out menus can also be quite stressful," said Chef Ahn in a company press release. "When prepping for a big holiday, make it really memorable by combining traditional tastes with unexpected flavors, such as pairing turkey and gravy with a bold gochujang sauce for an unusual kick. The key is to use products that offer simple, ready-in-minutes convenience, like Bibigo's collection of pantry staples, so you're not stuck in the kitchen the entire day and can step out to celebrate with your guests."

More recommendations from Ahn:

  • Bibigo Mini Wontons, which feature vegetables and meat in a thin wrapper. Pairs with soy or traditional gochujang sauce, and can also be used as a salad topper.
  • Kimchi stew. "Starting a meal with soup helps to set up your palate for the courses that follow," notes Chef Ahn.
  • Bibigo Original, Pineapple and Hot & Spicy Korean sauces as a turkey marinade.

Bibigo products are available at retailers nationwide.
