Beautiful Brands founder to launch YouTube talk show

July 24, 2011

Beautiful Brands founder David Rutkauskas has announced plans to launch a new YouTube talk show channel beginning September 2011. The channel will consist of six to eight video episodes a yearand will feature conversations between Rutkauskas and creative artists and entrepreneurs around the country.

“I want to know more about the creative impulse in people, what inspires them, and the lessons they can offer to help others succeed,”Rutkauskas said. “Our goal here is not only to put positive energy online, but we want to encourage people to create, to think and to make their dreams come true. I believe by sharing these stories, we can help others form their future and inspire them toward their goals.”

Teaming with BBI on the project will be editor Elvis Ripley, as well as Tulsa-based videographer Kelly Kerr, who recently worked with the music group Hanson. Each episode will run 10-12 minutes in length and will spotlight a large variety of creative personalities – from painters and sculptors to musicians and entrepreneurs.

“Our channel is meant to be a source of inspiration for people and a way to reach out effectively to a broader audience,” Rutkauskas said. “Having this format on YouTube provides an opportunity to speak to individuals from all walks of life and to find a unique way to engage our audience in something meaningful to them personally.”

The launching of the new YouTube channel will play an integral part in BBI’s strategy to develop its digital presence and utilize today’s technology tools to engage consumers. For the past year, BBI has partnered with Paul Barron of DigitalCoCo in an effort to increase its web reach by delivering creative content to its followers. In addition to the new channel, Rutkauskas also is author of the blogsite: http://davidrutkauskas.com/, Twitter page: @davidrutkauskas and new book: “It’s a Beautiful Thing,” due out in 2012.

“We’re definitely on a search for the creative spirit in us all,” Rutkauskas said. “It doesn’t matter what form that takes. Our focus is in finding the best practices and ideas of people making a difference and using their story to help others achieve their dreams.”
