bd's Mongolian Grill names top griller

bd's Mongolian Grill has named Gedde Naschak, a griller at its Auburn Hills, Mich., location, as the winner of its 2012 Master Griller competition, a contest the company holds annually to recognize its best griller.

Naschak joined the bd's Mongolian team in July 2009, and has since maintained a relentless commitment to delivering a stellar performance and experience for each of his guests, creating Mongo Magic every bowl, every shift, every time. In conjunction with being titled Master Griller, Naschak received a monetary prize of $1,000.

"It's truly an honor to win this significant award," Naschak said in a company press release. "I am proud to work with a great team which delivers on its promise to provide a family friendly environment where everyone can rule their own experience."

Among a list of criteria to be met, the Master Griller is a leader and mentor to other grillers, executes showmanship and style with great sword handling techniques, and overall has a can-do attitude that is always accompanied by a smile.

"Gedde is a hardworking, loyal individual who makes the restaurant the best it can be by taking personal responsibility in the execution of our mission to provide an unparalleled customer experience," said Joe Phraner, president and COO of bd's Mongolian Grill.
