Baja Fresh announces new executive hires

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Baja Fresh Mexican Grill has announced the addition of two new hires, the company announced April 26. 
 
Jerry de Lucia will join the executive team as their new director of marketing. De Lucia will be responsible for overseeing all marketing operations for expanding the company's brand strategy and implementation going forward.

He was most recently employed by Catalina Restaurant Corporation, the operators of Coco's and Carrows restaurants, in Carlsbad, Calif. De Lucia also has spent past time at the Rusty Pelican Restaurants, Stuart Anderson's Black Angus Restaurants, El Torito and Associated Hosts Restaurants.

Additionally, Tim Koch has joined Baja Fresh Mexican Grill as their new director of purchasing.
Koch will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing for the company.

Before joining Baja Fresh, Koch was previously employed by CKE Restaurants Inc., where he served as the purchasing manager for Carl's Jr. and Green Burrito restaurants. He managed food complexes for Carl's Jr., as well as developed and implemented commodity hedging strategies, assisted in new product roll outs and negotiated contracts and pricing agreements.
