"We've had our eye on Ontario for a while because it's a city that's continuing to grow and has an incredible dining community," founder and CEO David Mkhitaryan said in a press release.

The opening brings Angry Chickz to 38 California locations and 43 restaurants systemwide. Founded in 2018, the brand has grown from a 900-square-foot storefront in Los Angeles' East Hollywood neighborhood into a multi-state franchise system.

The company said it plans to continue its nationwide expansion through both corporate-owned and franchised restaurants.
