Abuelo's Taqueria to open in Lubbock, Texas

Abuelo's Mexican Restaurants is opening its newest concept – Abuelo’s Taqueria – in late October in Lubbock, Texas.

Abuelo’s Taqueria is designed to deliver the same high quality food that Abuelo’s is known for, but with many new menu additions that blend traditional Mexican tastes with other continental flavors.

"Our traditional Abuelo’s restaurants have earned a reputation for extraordinary Mexican specialties that raise the bar of Mexican food," said Robert Lin, president of Food Concepts International. "Abuelo’sTaqueria offers us a way to further express our passion for food in a distinctively different way, while at the same time giving our guests the same quality they have come to expect from Abuelo’s.”

The new Abuelo’s Taqueria features a fast casual format where guests order at the counter.

Abuelo’s first opened in 1989 and currently has 41 restaurants located in 15 states throughout the U.S.
