1000 Degrees Pizza's Caulipower cauliflower crust introduced last November is a hit. The 30-unit pizza brand said that in just the first four months, the pizzas registered a 27% increase in sales of over the previous gluten-free option. That's why it's now putting the vegetable-based crust at the center of two LTOs, according to a news release.
1000 Degrees' DIY Pizza Kit contains a choice of the cauliflower crust or another dough, a sauce, a cheese topping and an additional topping to make at home. Additionally, the brand's "Green Team" pizza is available for carryout or delivery and includes cauliflower crust, pesto, mozzarella, feta, chopped garlic, broccoli, red onions and fresh basil.
"Caulipower cauliflower crust has been a huge hit in our restaurants from the moment we rolled it out, and it continues to account for a large portion of our sales from our guests hunkered down at home," Matthew Merrill, director of franchise operations for 1000 Degrees Pizza, said in the release. "We wanted to build on that success by offering up some more innovative options featuring Caulipower."
