Brothers, friends launch Griller Bros in Bangladesh, ready to grow

Founded by three brothers and a core group of culinary professionals with two decades of international food industry experience, Griller Bros was born out of a shared appreciation for flame-grilled traditions found across Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Now, they're ready to franchise.

What began as an informal evening among five friends and brothers, who are also industry veterans, around a charcoal grill has evolved into Griller Bros, a rapidly growing Bangladeshi restaurant brand built around open-flame cooking, global peri-peri and steak influences and scalable fast-casual growth.

Founded by three brothers, and a core group of culinary professionals with two decades of international food industry experience, Griller Bros was born out of a shared appreciation for flame-grilled traditions found across Asia, Africa and the Americas. Rather than copying a single country's cuisine, the brand extracts the universal element connecting global street grills and fire kitchens: unpretentious high-quality food cooked over real charcoal.

"Great grilled food does not need to be complicated," COO Mohammad (Iqbal) Istiaq said in a press release. "It needs real fire, quality ingredients, bold flavors, and an inviting environment where people can gather. We asked ourselves why we couldn't bring that authentic fire culture directly to our streets, and that simple question became the blueprint for this brand."

Griller Bros launched its flagship store in Purbachal, Dhaka, establishing its baseline operational model. Construction is underway on its second location along the Padma River in Dohar, Dhaka, targeting high-foot-traffic lifestyle and transit corridors. Istiaq said construction will begin soon on the first franchised location and is hoping to have five total stores open by 2027's end.

"We don't have any investors yet, but we are looking forward to equity investment for future store openings," he told FastCasual in an email interview.

The brand's long-term roadmap emphasizes building a scalable fast-casual concept capable of domestic expansion across Bangladesh before eventually entering international markets.

Global fire traditions meet modern fast casual

While flame-grilled chicken and distinct peri-peri profiles anchor the menu, Griller Bros incorporates broader casual-dining and global street-food influences. The restaurant model is designed to maximize operational efficiency while providing an engaging visual experience, allowing guests to see, smell, and watch their food prepared over open flames.

The brand's philosophy focuses on long-term scalability rather than rapid, unmanageable expansion. Key operational priorities include:

  • Standardized flame-grilling protocols: Maintaining taste and quality consistency across multiple locations through structured kitchen operations.
  • Accessible community hubs: Positioning stores as versatile gathering spaces for professionals, students, and families looking for high-protein, flavor-forward meals.
  • Sustainable expansion: Growing the brand footprint deliberately to build strong unit economics and deep customer loyalty.
