As the world continues to combat the spread of COVID-19, facilities are seeking solutions to operate safely and comply with local health and safety guidelines. Limiting the number of people inside a facility can support social distancing measures and help curb community exposure events.
Motorola Solutions' Occupancy Counting feature in Avigilon Control Center (ACC) video management software can provide organizations an easy and streamlined way to count and identify the number of people in a facility. Facilities can use dashboard reports available through the Avigilon Cloud Services (ACS) platform to know when their occupancy limit has been reached in real-time. Results can be displayed in the form of an entry control screen on web-enabled devices to instruct visitors on when to enter or queue.
The feature aims to remove the staffing costs required to count people manually and the subsequent guesswork on occupancy by frontline employees, particularly where facilities have multiple entry and exit points. Occupancy Counting helps organizations comply with social distancing guidelines by limiting the number of people in a restaurant, thereby reducing the interactions between them.
