The Two Central Florida Greats Join Forces to Make Mouths Water

ORLANDO, Fla., April 29, 2024- Jeff’s Bagel Run - the scratch bakery, known for its hot, fresh bagels - and Pigzza - the modern Italian-ish restaurant offering a contemporary twist on classic Italian dishes, today announce a limited-time food collaboration.

To kick off the collaboration, The Jeff’s Bagel Run team joined the Beyond the Smoke with Thomas Ward Podcast where they shared their aggressive growth plan that includes six new locations.  The episode featuring the team comes out tomorrow.  In celebration of the appearance on the show-starting tomorrow, in addition to the regular menu, Pigzza will offer all of their pizzas as bagel-pizzas using Jeff’s Bagel Run Everything bagels as the “crust.”  Each pizza on the menu will have the option for regular sourdough crust or as a Jeff’s Bagel Run Everything bagel “crust.”  

Jeff’s Bagel Run will feature its Bagel of the Day tomorrow (April 30) and Saturday (May 4) as the Pigzza Pepperoni Pizza Bagel.  The bagel will be rolled and boiled in store and then topped with the Pigzza marinara sauce, smoked mozzarella, parmesan and pepperoni.  Additionally, the shop will offer a cream cheese mixed with Pig Floyd's Urban BBQ’s chimichurri for any of its bagels. All item menus are limited and on a first come, first serve basis.  

“We have known the team at Pigzza since they started,” said Jeff Perera, of Jeff’s Bagel Run.  “When they approached us to do this collaboration I couldn’t say yes fast enough!  We love everything that comes out of their kitchen and we were excited about working together to bring something to customers that we knew they would love.”

“I frequent Jeff’s Bagel Run pretty often and I was thinking about those times when you were a kid and you would create a pizza bagel at home and thought we could do that but with the best ingredients in Florida between the two brands,” said Thomas Ward from Pigzza.  “We enjoyed a great test day in the kitchen and I’m confident our customers are going to love the end result.”

The collaboration is a short-term offering.  Pigzza recommends making an advance reservation and Jeff’s Bagel Run recommends placing your order early through the app or arriving early to one of its four locations: newly opened Celebration, College Park, Ocoee, and Oviedo.

In 2023, Jeff’s Bagel Run announced an aggressive growth plan that included six new locations in Central Florida.  Three of those locations are now open.  Winter Park, Clermont and Conroy/Kirkman remain under construction and will open soon.
