Press Release

Expansion on menu for this Salisbury burrito concept

Go Burrito is looking to expand its footprint in the Southeast.

November 4, 2016

Go Burrito is looking to expand its footprint in the Southeast.

Mikey and Lily Wetzel are behind the fast-casual concept. The couple is considering additional locations, but also looking to sell area developer options for franchisees, either for cities or regions.

The franchise fee is $39,500.

Go Burrito got its start in Salisbury in 2013. Last year, that restaurant sold more than 100,000 burritos, with more than $1.4 million in sales.

Mikey Wetzel attributes that success to “colliding industry trends." There’s the growing fast-casual segment, atmosphere and a menu that brings back frequent diners.

California-style burritos — a nod to the couple’s California roots — are at the heart of the restaurant’s menu.

Go Burrito offers a number of signature burritos. For example, the top-seller is the San Diego style with steak, guacamole, pico de gallo and French Fries.

There’s also a make-your-own option, with more than 20 fillings to choose from including veggie, pork, beef, chicken and steak.

Go Burrito utilizes a preparation method that ensures ingredients are evenly mixed before they are toasted on a panini grill.

“Once you try it you’ll never want a burrito any other way,” Wetzel says.

Burritos also can be served in a variety of ways — be it drenched in queso or enchilada sauce without a shell or over quinoa.

The menu also features, nachos, salad, quesadillas and soft tacos. House-made chips and homemade salsa round out the menu.

The average check ranges from $8 to $15.
