Podcast Summary

At first glance, the name of Ike's Love & Sandwiches, might seem a bit over the top for a QSR focused on funky sandwiches, like the Hot Momma Huda and Menage ATrois. But once you meet the man behind the chain, Ike Shehadeh, you understand completely why the word "love" absolutely had to be part of the brand's name.

You see, Shehadeh really does "love" making food for people, though that realization did not come without a lot of heartache and loss. In fact, the charismatic leader of this quickly growing West Coast chain, was once homeless and living off of old canned goods from a failed grocery store before he rebounded and never looked back. In short, he knows how far you can fall before you realize what you really "love" to do and how that love can quickly blossom into a great restaurant brand.

On this week's QSRweb podcast, Ike sits down to talk about his trials, his brand and its incredible growth spurt, with show host and QSRweb Editor Shelly Whitehead.
