Zoup! Eatery is opening this fall in Arlington, Virginia's, Ballston neighborhood thanks to a deal with Franchisee Jim Beverley.
"Long before I even thought of becoming a franchisee, I was a Zoup! regular," Beverley said in a company press release. "A friend jokingly called me an addict after seeing my umpteenth Zoup bag."
Beverley comes to Zoup! from the Millennium Challenge Corporation, a U.S. agency dedicated to reducing global poverty through economic growth. He's also been an engineer, teacher, finance professional, consultant and entrepreneur.
The Ballston location will feature Zoup!'s Sustain-a-Bowls, a new menu category of entree-sized bowls made with a base of either bone broth, cauliflower rice or full-husk brown rice and ancient grains and prepared with all-natural ingredients, according to the release. Guests also may choose from six housemade organic beverages, including Lemon Berry or Citrus Sunrise lemonades and Peach Harvest or Hibiscus Bloom teas.
Zoup!, based in Detroit, has more than 100 units.
