Zoup launches happy hour

January 11, 2021

January is National Soup Month, and to celebrate, Detroit-based Zoup Eatery is celebrating by launching a soup Happy Hour and delivering 100 Zoup Rescue Care Packages.

Each Rescue Care Package contains a bowl of soup, a hunk of bread and a beverage and can be picked up or delivered to a deserving party who has been nominated by a friend or loved one. To nominate someone to receive a Rescue Care Package, visit zoup.com/rescue.

"We love celebrating the power of soup and the intangibles of comfort and warmth so closely associated with soup," Zoup Eatery founder and CEO Eric Ersher said in a company press release. "If you know someone who's under the weather, recovering from illness or is going through a rough time, we know our Rescue Care Packages can lighten their load."

The Rescue program began in 2011 as a way for local franchise owners to give back to their communities.

"Local Zoup Eatery owners and their communities have made the Rescue program a huge success," Christina Trecapelli, director of Franchise Marketing, said in the release. "Our franchise owners are part of their community and the Rescue program affords them another channel to provide support and connection where they live."

The Zoup happy hour is for all Zoup! Insiderz Rewards members. They may receive a free cup of soup with any purchase every Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. during Happy Hour. Customers can place orders online using discount code: HAPPYHOUR21.

Founded in 1998, Zoup has about 100 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
