After growing the brand throughout the northern Colorado region and beyond, Ziggi's Coffee, based in Longmont, Colorado, has signed an agreement to bring additional units to Colorado Springs with two couples and longtime friends, Melissa and Serafin Padilla and Annette and Fernando Verones.
The Verones are military veterans, and the Padillas have a background in business and entrepreneurship. Together, they began looking for an investment opportunity that would set them up for success, according to a press release.
"We've been exploring franchises for over 10 years," Serafin Padilla said in the release. "We've done our own startups but there's something cool about franchises and the support you receive. Coupling that with coffee, which we know is a very lucrative industry, we knew this was the way to go."
"My wife and I love Ziggi's Coffee and get it every time we go to visit our daughter," Fernando Verones said in the release. "Once we started looking into it more, we all really loved the family approach and how connected everyone is."
In addition to family values, the group was also very attracted to the growth potential, the company's Colorado roots and the versatile menu options.
"We love that this is a homegrown franchise. We're not from Colorado originally but we've always been pulled toward it," said Serafin Padilla. "The fact that Ziggi's Coffee is a local company with exceptional products and menu offerings and is currently experiencing exponential growth; we couldn't be happier to be getting in now. It's just going to explode."
The couples plan to get three units open as soon as possible and are working with the Ziggi's Coffee team to identify viable real estate options in the Colorado Springs area.
Founded in 2004, Ziggie's has 26 locations nationwide and 52 additional units in development.
