For a second consecutive year, Zaxby’s has ranked as America’s “Most Craveable Fast Casual” by Technomic, a market research firm specializing in the restaurant industry. The 2014 Consumer’s Choice Awards for Chain Restaurants are based on responses to Technomic’s Consumer Brand Metrics Program that tracks the performance of 120 restaurants nationally. Zaxby’s also ranked “Most Craveable Fast Casual” in 2013.
“We are continuously looking for new experiences and flavors to provide our guests, but it’s also exciting for us to know that some of our very first menu items are still fan favorites to this day,” Zach McLeroy, CEO and cofounder of Zaxby’s, said in a company press release.“We’re delighted to know our guests have ranked us most craveable for a second year, and will endlessly strive to provide them with exceptional flavors they can’t get anywhere else.”
The Technomic survey asked consumers to rate restaurants on more than 60 attributes, categorizing every aspect of a guest’s experience, from satisfaction to loyalty, into five Pillars of Excellence. The 2014 rankings were based on consumer responses from the fourth quarter of 2012, through the third quarter of 2013. Based on those responses, Zaxby’s guests attribute its craveability to its signature chicken and variety of dipping sauces, including its popular Zax Sauce, according to the release.
Zaxby’s currently operates more than 600 locations in 15 states — Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.
