Wow Bao now available in Meijer, Giant Food stores

Wow Bao has partnered with grocers Meijer and Ahold Delhaize to offer its frozen food offerings in Michigan-based Meijer stores and at Hannaford, Giant Company and Giant Food stores, owned by Ahold Delhaize. The partnerships bring Wow Bao's grocery store freezer presence to nearly 7,000 retailers in the continental United States, expanding from just 350 stores at the beginning of 2023.

Meijer is the first retailer to carry Szechwan-style spicy Pork Bao, which features roasted pork, cabbage, ginger, garlic and chili crisp-gochujang sauce inside bao. The flavor is one of several CPG products Wow Bao is unveiling this year.

"The addition of Meijer, Hannaford, Giant Company and Giant Food stores speaks to the continued growth Wow Bao is experiencing within our CPG vertical," Geoff Alexander, president and CEO of Wow Bao, said in a company press release. "Our fans can find our signature bao on freezer shelves throughout the entire country."

Wow Bao started in 2003 in several Chicago storefronts and is in nearly 700 virtual restaurants across the U.S.
