Digital workplace solutions provider WorkJam is acquiring Forge, an on-demand staffing platform, according to a press release. The move will help WorkJam expand its investment in thought leadership, flexible scheduling capability and self-service scheduling technology, said Steven Kramer, WorkJam CEO, president and co-founder,

"Forge's vision surrounding the future of work and employee autonomy aligns with our longstanding value of delivering productivity gains, cost savings and improved customer experience for employers while enabling frontline employees with the tools that foster engagement with their work," he said in the release. "Together, WorkJam and Forge will continue to transform how companies are managing and engaging their frontline workforce."

Both WorkJam and Forge were named Cool Vendors in 2019 by Gartner. Forge CEO and Co-Founder Stacey Ferreira will join WorkJam as its director of digital workplace. Prior to founding Forge, Ferreira founded MySocialCloud, a password storage and SSO technology that was acquired by Reputation.com in 2013.
